Details: Your child will learn Irish Dance at the area's performance based Irish Dance troupe! Instruction includes Irish Dance basics and choreography which will be showcased in our 10 year Anniversary Stage Show, which will be held Saturday, May 6th, 7pm at Bishop McDevitt High School Stage. Dancers will learn with the help of our Apprentice Company Members who will also join the class on stage for the show. You child will also dance in the show Finale! This is a great way to give Irish Dance a try without a year long commitment required by most Irish Dance schools and the expensive costumes and wigs.
Important Dates: Dancers are encouraged to attend our staging rehearsal on Saturday April 29th at our Mechanicsburg Studio, and the Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, May 4th at Bishop McDevitt. (Times TBA)
Class informtion: Dancers should wear black athletic clothes for class, (shorts and t-shirt) since Irish Dance requires movements with both feet, we encourage your dancer to wear a white sock on their right foot and a black or colored sock on the other foot. Dancers should have a labeled water bottle. Parents are welcome to stay in the waiting room during the sessions, but are not permited in the studio during class. Please be sure to bring your child a few minutes early so they can begin class on schedule. Please check out our FAQ page for more.
Additional Show information: Girls will need black footed tights and black bloomers or shorts to wear under their costume. Boys should have black dress pants. Other costume elements will be provided. We have used shoes for boys and girls available at the studio, but Irish shoes are NOT required for the performance. Tickets for our show go on sale April 1st, but they can also be purchased at the door.
